ILCA-NA Laser District 3
Miami OCR - The Competition is Fierce

When the sailor who came sixth at the World Championships in Halifax doesn't make the Gold fleet, you know the competition is pretty hot. David Wright, arguably the quickest Canadian to come out of the Worlds last year, must be doing a lot of head shaking right now - he leads the Silver fleet into the final days of this year's Miami OCR.

Our top D3 sailors right now are Lee Parkhill (15th) and Chris Dold (18th). Chris was in the top ten yesterday, but dropped down the standings with a 37 and 22, while Lee put a four in on the first race of the day to pull himself up. Rob Davis is the only other D3er to make it to the Gold fleet. He is back in 45. You can read his blog at www.robertdavissailing.blogspot.com

There was no fleet split for the Radials. Brend Bowskill is our top D3 sailor at 38th position, followed right behind by Merry Clair in 39th. Ingrid Merry is a little further back in 44th. However, there is still plenty of racing to come.
