Get ready for 2011 with the "Never too old to sail a Laser" night!
The EYC High Performance team is once again hosting a series of winter seminars designed to get Laser sailors thinking and planning for the upcoming season.
The three 2011 seminars will take place Friday January 14th, February 11th and March 25th starting at 7pm in the EYC Main Hall. These seminars are open to all sailors, but the focus on Laser sailing.
On January 14th, Rob Koci, captain of the Ontario Masters Racing Team, and Secretary of the Ontario district of the North American Laser Class, will speak on the Laser's popularity across all age ranges, tell us about the district's plans for a new racing series and and review the racing from 2010 (you can read his sailing blog from past years at www.d3laser.com).
Following this talk, Rob and other top masters sailors plan to speak on the Open and Masteršs racing circuit in 2011, how to prepare to compete in them, and tips on how make them memorable.
As a bonus for those who show up, there will be door prizes drawn at the end of the talk. Just show up, sign up, listen to the talk and get a chance to win some useful Laser gear.
